A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
SPECIALIST
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (or occupational therapist) to join our team in our brick and mortar Lake Nona Feeding Clinic! This person must have experience with pediatric feeding disorder or a strong willingness to learn.Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for patients-Feeding Specific
- Provide feeding and language therapy services to individuals with communication disorders in an out patient setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective case management.
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to inform treatment strategies.
- Offer counseling and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language disorders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- ASHA certification is not a requirement for this job
- Experience working with pediatric populations with a specialty in feeding is a must.
- Experience working with teens and food phobias is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures, care protocols, and best practices in speech therapy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. patients, and families The right candidate must have the following:
- love of working with kids with feeding challenges.
- understanding of behavioral aspects of feeding
- able to work well with ABA therapists, natural language providers, and OTs
- willingness to learn about ARFID and feeding issues affecting teens and young adults if not already experienced
- able to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work from 3:00-6:00 2 or 3 evenings per week.
- This job is a 1099 candidate with
GAURANTEED
HOURS and consistent pay. Benefits such as paid CEU stipend and bonus structure after first 3 months of work.Job Types:
Part-time, Contract Pay:
$45.00- $55.
