Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices and technologies. Skills Extensive knowledge of pediatrics, early intervention strategies, and working with children with speech or language impairments. Proficiency in conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or neurological conditions. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech production, swallowing mechanisms, and communication processes. Experience implementing speech therapy plans tailored for pediatric populations as well as adult or geriatric patients requiring voice or swallowing therapy. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering remote services effectively. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, audiologists, educators, and medical professionals. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology assessments and treatments. Competence in utilizing EMR/EHR systems for documentation while adhering to confidentiality standards.
