What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Days Shifts The role you'll contribute: Provides speech therapy evaluations and treatments to patients to facilitate and maximize functioning level as prescribed by physician. Includes the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function, psychosocial abilities, activities of daily living and health status resulting from injury, diseases or other causes. Adheres to Florida Hospital- East Region performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties under regulatory standards and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.
Preferred qualifications:
Interpretation of video fluoroscopic studies are preferred. Dysphagia experience preferred Vital Stim Certification preferredJob Types:
