Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embrace a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the vibrant Southeast Florida Coast area. This role offers on-site assignments in one or two schools, delivering essential language and communication services to students ranging from preschool through high school. You'll make a meaningful difference across diverse caseloads, including mainstream classrooms, ASD units, and specialized education programs. Multiple start dates and flexible schedules are available, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment, depending on the campus needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required (CCC preferred) Fingerprint background clearance (with potential for expedited processing via DOH) Experience in school settings or working with K-12 age groups is highly desirable Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, SLPA, and other SLPs Experience supporting students in ASD, EBD, VE, and InD units is a plus SLPA applications considered only if local supervision is availableRole Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of students in one or two schools, depending on assignment Provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy Serve students from PK through 12th grade, adapting interventions according to age and diagnosis Collaborate with school staff and families to support students' communication goals Maintain documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as requiredBenefits & Perks:
