The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for organizing and providing speech-language services to facilitate rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

Develop and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the resident's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. Set realistic and achievable goals for their residents, document and record the residents condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method. Facilitate the learning of skills and functions essential for communication and swallowing, to reduce or remediate disorders of deficits. Identify the need for and make a referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient Requirements include: Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Florida. Must have proven experience as SLP. Nursing home or hospital experience preferred.
