Part Time Speech-Language Pathologist, 1099 Independent Contractor | $80/hour | Opportunity to Grow into Full-Time About Providence Pediatric TherapyProvidence Pediatric Therapy is a concierge-level, private-pay pediatric therapy practice serving children and families throughout Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding areas. We provide individualized occupational and speech-language therapy primarily in the environments where children feel most comfortable and where therapy can have the greatest impact - their homes and daycares. We believe therapy should feel personal, meaningful, and connected to real life. We intentionally look beyond a diagnosis or a checklist of skills to see the whole child and the family surrounding them. Our goal is to provide an exceptional level of care while creating a therapy experience that feels personal, collaborative, and genuinely supportive for every family we serve. The Opportunity We are looking for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team on a PRN basis, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position if desired. This is a unique opportunity for an SLP who values clinical autonomy, flexibility, meaningful relationships, and family-centered care. Because of our concierge-level model, our therapists have significant freedom and flexibility. When a new family reaches out to Providence, we will provide you with the details of the inquiry, and you decide whether you would like to take the client. You have autonomy over your schedule, caseload, and the families you choose to work with. We aren't looking to fill schedules simply for the sake of filling them. We want to create thoughtful matches between therapists and families so that both can thrive. Our caseload primarily focuses on early development and children ages 0-5 , although we are open to supporting children outside of this age range when it is a good fit. Compensation & Flexibility $80/hour as a 1099 independent contractor; dependent on experience and licensure level Each scheduled session includes 45 minutes of direct treatment + 15 minutes of documentation time $25 travel payment per session for clients located outside of our established service area PRN flexibility with the opportunity to grow into full-time Full autonomy over your schedule Freedom to choose which client inquiries you accept No predetermined caseload requirement The ability to build your caseload gradually and intentionally We want Providence to fit into your life - not require your life to revolve around a predetermined schedule. What You'll Do Provide individualized speech-language evaluations and treatment Primarily serve a pediatric caseload with a focus on early development Address areas such as expressive and receptive language, articulation, social communication, play, early communication, and functional communication Develop individualized goals and treatment plans based on each child's strengths, needs, and family priorities (if SLP) Provide hands-on therapy in natural environments, primarily homes and daycares Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers throughout the therapy process Communicate with families during every session regarding progress, challenges, and ways they can support their child at home Provide practical, meaningful strategies that can be incorporated into everyday routines Remain reasonably accessible to families throughout the week for questions and support related to their child's therapy Collaborate with our pediatric OT when appropriate to provide a truly interdisciplinary approach Complete required documentation and maintain accurate clinical records Communicate professionally and compassionately with families and other members of a child's care team Approach therapy with creativity, flexibility, and a willingness to think beyond traditional models Family Collaboration Is at the Heart of What We Do At Providence, we don't believe therapy should only happen during the 45 minutes a therapist is physically with a child. Parents are an essential part of the therapeutic process. Our therapists are expected to actively partner with families—not simply treat the child and leave. This means communicating with parents during every session, explaining what you are seeing, celebrating progress, discussing challenges, and providing practical strategies they can use throughout the week. We want families to leave each session feeling more confident, more equipped, and more connected to their child's development. Our approach is hands-on, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that the best therapy extends into a child's everyday life.
