WordPLAY is seeking a speech language pathologist to join our team of highly skilled practitioners working in schools throughout Clayton County . As a speech language pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive speech therapy services to K-12 students, helping them overcome communication disorders and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech and language disorders, as well as strengths and areas for improvement Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs and goals Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to address a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation disorders, language delays, phonological disorders, etc. Employ a play-based and engaging approach to make therapy sessions interactive and enjoyable for children Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to therapy Regularly monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and client records

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF-SLP) - CFs are also welcome to apply! Florida Department of Health licensure as a speech language pathologist Experience working with school-age children and addressing various speech and language disorders Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping children achieve their communication goals
