Dawsonville and Dahlonega, GA Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in geriatric home health services! In this vital role, you will deliver expert speech therapy to patients in their own homes, empowering individuals with communication and swallowing challenges to achieve their fullest potential. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with each patient's unique needs and goals Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions across geriatric adult populations, including early intervention cases Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies for ongoing improvement Monitor progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches to optimize outcomes Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and agency policies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure holistic patient support Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in GA. Proven experience working with geriatric populations is highly preferred Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Ability to perform detailed patient assessments and interpret clinical data effectively Excellent communication skills to educate patients, families, and team members clearly and compassionately Prior school experience or familiarity with educational settings is a plus but not required Commitment to providing compassionate patient care with a proactive, energetic approach Embark on a fulfilling career where your expertise transforms lives through dedicated patient care.
