A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

For more than 40 years, we've developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. This role provides treatment and evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, linguistic and swallowing disorders as a result of acquired brain injury. This position also focuses on developing strategies for clients in areas of memory, language expression, speech production, pragmatics, comprehension, problem solving, conflict resolution and swallowing disorders.
Requirements:
Completion of a master's degree in speech-language pathology and one-year experience completed with CCC from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and state licensure is required Previous Spinal Cord / Brain Injury experience is strongly preferred Experience in treatment of neurologically related physical disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred Must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time spent working in this position Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained Ability to lift 50lbs Collage Rehabilitation Partners is an equal employment opportunity employer. #JT
