Job Description

Speech Therapist - LTC / Nursing Home Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech Therapist to provide high-quality speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to patients in a long-term care/nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans and support patients in achieving their functional goals.

Tentative Requirements Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license applicable to Georgia Appropriate education and credentials required to practice as a Speech Therapist Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Commitment to providing patient-centered care Responsibilities Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions based on patient-specific goals Monitor and document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed Educate patients, families, and caregivers on appropriate therapy techniques and strategies Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations Promote patient safety, independence, and quality of life
Pay:
$52.00 - $57.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
