Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN)
Locations:
Harvest Acres Nursing and Rehab - Keota, IA & Stone Cottage Care Center Harvest Acres Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This position may also serve as a Part-Time Float between Harvest Acres Nursing and Rehab and Stone Cottage Care Center. Up to $70/hour Benefits Weekday and weekend hours available Flexible scheduling options Net Health documentation system Rewarding opportunity to work with a geriatric population Competitive PRN pay - earn extra income while making an impact Responsibilities Provide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functional improvement. Deliver augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Educate and train clients, families, caregivers, and other professionals on communication strategies and therapy goals. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES) as ordered by the physician. Conduct screening rounds as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation to assess client needs and ensure environmental safety. Requirements Active Iowa Speech-Language Pathology License in good standing (required). Current ASHA certification (required). Knowledge of current Speech Therapy practices, procedures, laws, and regulations about skilled nursing facilities. Genuine passion for working with the geriatric population and promoting residents' quality of life.
