May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

The Ambassador is a 46 bed facility located in Sidney, Iowa. Just 15 minutes from Shenandoah and Nebraska City, the facility is a quick trip for local communities. Associates will enjoy a team approach to resident care involving all departments as well as several campus updates including a brand new spa house, renovated dining room, and updated spacious private suites that feel like home! The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) organizes and provides speech-language services to facilitate rehabilitation within Ambassador Health. They direct patient participation in targeted tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Additionally, the SLP helps patients develop essential communication and swallowing skills, working to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
