A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Childworks Therapy Clinic is looking to hire a FULL TIME or
PART TIME
speech language pathologist. At Childworks Therapy Clinic, we believe every child is born with unique strengths and abilities. Our approach to therapy is to highlight and build on those strengths in a family-centered environment. Our clinic provides specialized care to infants, children, and adults experiencing feeding, swallowing, communication, and myofunctional difficulties. We strive to create an environment that helps families feel empowered, feel heard, and feel successful when they walk through our doors. EXPERIENCE
Master's or doctoral degree from and accredited speech and language program from a college or university required. Pediatric background preferred, but not required Ability to support mentorship of Clinical Fellowship applicant CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or
REGISTRATIONS
Licensed by the State of Iowa as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA certification required This position requires a valid driver's license
