Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to support students from early childhood through 12th grade during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This role is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and includes multiple positions to ensure comprehensive speech and language services.
Assignment Details:
Dates:
June 15, 2026 - July 26, 2026
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM (the first and last day will end at 3:15 PM)
Setting:
In-person services within the school environment
Student Population:
Early Childhood to 12th grade
Note:
Candidates must hold a valid Illinois license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
Important:
Use of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) or Clinical Fellows (CFs) is not permitted
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with diverse communication needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License and Professional Educator License (PEL) Experience working with students from early childhood through high school preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in an educational setting and adhere to scheduled hours This position offers a focused contract duration with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' academic and communicative development during the ESY period.
