Full-time Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports students with communication disorders that impact their ability to access the academic curriculum and participate socially within the school environment. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and provide direct and consultative services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations. Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with appropriate, measurable goals and objectives. Provide direct therapy services to students with identified communication disorders. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support communication across all settings. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and student support teams. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes. Provide consultative support and training to staff regarding communication strategies, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and language-rich environments. Recommend and assist in the implementation of assistive technology and communication devices as needed. Stay current with evidence-based practices, licensure requirements, and continuing education.Qualifications:
Required:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure and/or certification inSpeech-Language Pathology Preferred:
Previous experience working with students in a K-12 special education setting Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems Experience with diverse populations and disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and intellectual disabilitiesPay:
$60,000.00- $85,000.
