This position offers the chance to positively impact the communication skills and academic growth of young learners in a collaborative educational setting. The role involves working onsite, balancing time between a self-contained classroom for three days each week and providing pull-out speech services for the remaining two.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required. Experience with a diverse elementary-aged caseload preferred. Familiarity with IEP development and Embrace IEP software is highly desirable. Ability to provide both group and individualized speech/language therapy to students with a variety of disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 20 students, focusing on a range of communicative challenges. Work 32.5 hours per week onsite, with hours from 8:15am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday. Serve in a self-contained classroom three days weekly, supporting students with more intensive needs. Provide pull-out speech/language interventions two days each week. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to optimize student progress. Complete assessments, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
