Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of elementary school students by supporting their communication growth in an engaging educational environment. A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential. This position is located near Elgin, IL, and will span from 10/14/26 through 5/26/27.
Key Qualifications:
Possess a current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Illinois Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly desirable Strong communication and documentation abilities Approachable, compassionate, and skilled at building positive rapport with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized treatment plans Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students on-site Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation for student files and progress reporting Attend meetings, participate in IEP development, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive school environment This role offers a consistent schedule, with 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, from 8:20am to 3:50pm.
