Job Description

CST Academy is an outpatient multidisciplinary private practice and therapeutic preschool dedicated to providing exceptional care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. Immediate openings are available at our Gurnee location. CST Academy offers a unique therapeutic preschool-style program and outpatient clinic—the only one of its kind in Chicago and the North Shore. In addition to providing one-on-one sessions with children, exceptional speech-language pathologists at CST Academy have the opportunity to lead classes and collaborate with top pediatric occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior analysts, ABA therapists, psychologists, and more. Our SLPs support children in developing a wide range of skills, including articulation, expressive/receptive language, feeding, literacy, stuttering, pragmatics, and phonology. Many of our learners are neurodiverse, with autism or related developmental delays. Responsibilities include : Planning for and providing targeted therapy for a variety of children on your caseload The opportunity to lead a classroom with children varying from ages 2-6 Interacting with and educating parents on therapy approaches and strategies Necessary skills and attributes include : Openness to working with children of all ages and with a variety of disorder areas A passion for working with children The ability to "connect" with children and parents Exceptional written and oral communication skills Creativity, flexibility, and collaboration skills Access to personal transportation Experience with feeding therapy is a plus
