This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 10 to September 22 and involves covering a leave of absence. Your expertise will support students communication needs and contribute to their academic and social growth within a collaborative educational setting.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in Illinois Experience working with high school students or adolescent populations preferred Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly valued Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in high school students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support Conduct screenings and evaluations in accordance with school policies and best practices Document ongoing student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for intervention strategies This contract position provides the rewarding opportunity to work face-to-face with students while gaining valuable experience in a high school environment.
