Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in a dynamic school-based setting near Joliet, IL. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric population, making a meaningful difference in their communication and educational outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid or eligible Illinois SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in school or pediatric settings preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Competence in delivering SLP services in both in-person and virtual learning environments is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans for students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and progress notes in compliance with district and regulatory standards Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, and provide expert recommendations for student accommodations Educate staff and families on communication strategies and best practices Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development
