08/17/2026 The speech language pathologist is responsible for screening, assessing and identifying students with communication disorders that adversely affect their education progress. The speech language pathologist develops and provides direct and indirect services within the student's education setting according to the goals and objectives of the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The speech language pathologist collaborates with other classroom teachers and related service providers in the development and implementation of best practices, thus ensuring that the student's needs are met in all school settings.

Qualifications:
Current and valid PEL with a Speech Language Pathologist (teaching or non-teaching) endorsement; Knowledge of the principles and techniques of speech-language therapy; Knowledge of the methods and procedures for the assessment and treatment of communication disorders; Ability to develop, evaluate, and modify IEPs based on assessment data; Ability to establish a positive rapport with students; Understands the importance of communicating and working closely with the families of students; Able to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement best practices designed to ensure that a student's needs are met in all school settings; Strong communication skills, and the ability to prepare and deliver written and oral summaries of evaluations and other reports to colleagues and families; Candidate able to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently is preferred.
Compensation:
