Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Discover an exciting opportunity tailored for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs) who want to make a difference in the lives of students near Rockford and surrounding areas. This contract-based role offers a supportive, innovative environment with a focus on growth, collaboration, and exceptional student services. With 37.5 hours per week, your school year will kick off with a comprehensive orientation starting August 3 and first day with students on August 11, 2026, running through May 28, 2027. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility Illinois state licensure or ability to obtain prior to the start date Commitment to providing quality, student-centered speech and language services Excellent communication and organizational skills Previous school-based experience is a plus, though not required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in educational settings Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized intervention plans Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and regular leader check-ins Engage in the Buddy Program for enhanced orientation and support as a new team member Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and testing materials Access ongoing professional development opportunities Contribute to continuous process improvement and best practices Connect in real-time with colleagues across the region through an interactive internal platform
