Job Description

Make a meaningful impact on the lives of students during an important transition period as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist this fall. This contract opportunity focuses on providing exceptional speech and language services for high school students over the first semester of the 26/27 school year, supporting a caseload of approximately 45-50 students as you cover an FMLA leave. The ideal candidate brings both experience and compassion, ready to step into a supportive educational environment. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and staff to help students achieve their communication goals and succeed both academically and socially.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license Professional Educator License (PEL) specific to Illinois Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Pediatric and/or school-based SLP experience, preferably in a high school setting Strong communication and collaboration skills with students and educational teams Ability to independently manage a moderate caseload (45-50 students)

Provide direct therapy and evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state regulations Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth Contribute to IEP meetings and share progress reports Offer expertise and support to staff on communication strategies Help shape the academic and personal journeys of high school students in a fulfilling contract role.
