Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract Make a significant difference in the lives of students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite contract position is available near Oak Lawn, IL, and offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated group of educators and support staff in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Valid Illinois SLP license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; new graduates/Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in a school-based SLP role is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population Conduct student evaluations and assessments in compliance with state and district guidelines Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress Maintain timely and accurate documentation for assessments, treatment, and progress Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to support school-wide initiatives
