A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

20201 South Crawford Ave, Olympia Fields, IL 60461 Responsibilities Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department. QualificationsEDUCATION , EXPERIENCE , TRAINING 1.
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in speech-language pathology required. 2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required. 3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC- SLP ) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ( ASHA ), free of disciplinary action
- OR•Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow ( SLP•CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
