Long Term Substitute- Speech and Language Pathologist Summary:
Fox River Grove Cons SD 3 is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Long Term Substitute Speech and Language Pathologist to support our students across both elementary and middle school settings. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality services, ensuring continuity of care for students with speech and language needs during this leave of absence.Anticipated Dates:
September 29, 2026 - January 25, 2027Qualifications:
1. Experience in working with special needs population. 2. Minimum of M.A. Degree 3. Type 73 Certificate with SLP Endorsement 4. Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY availableWorking Conditions:
Time spent in both the elementary and middle school.Application Procedure:
Apply onlineResponsibilities:
1. Assess, diagnose, and treat disorders of cognitive-communication, voice, speech language, and fluency. 2. Attends all buildingIEP/504/SST
meetings as mandated or appropriate and completes speech/language pathology procedures of the IEP and 504 plans for Special Education students in a thorough manner. 3. Completes necessary assessments and evaluations, in order to provide an understanding of child's cognitive-communication needs and reporting this information through necessary documentation/reports. This may include observations during class, lunch or recess as needed. 4. Consults with parents and completes the speech/language component of the case study. 5. Maintains case records on all referred students. 6. Consults with both regular and special education teachers. 7. Maintains familiarity with legal mandates and ethical standards that influence professional responsibilities. 8. Creates schedule for and provide facilitative speech/language pathology sessions for individuals and groups of children who have an identified special education need in the area of speech/language. 9. Attends staff, professional and inter-agency meetings as required. 10. Performs such other tasks as may from time be assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or Principal.Salary:
