9664419-61073 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Starting December 17 and running through March 12, 2027, youll make a direct impact within a friendly and well-supported school setting. This full-time role offers a consistent 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to focus your passion and expertise while working closely with both resource and general education classrooms. In this role, youll work with a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students at one elementary school. Your experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices will be a valued asset, as you help students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential within the classroom environment. Ideal candidates bring the following qualifications: Active Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Professional Educator License (PEL) active or eligibility to obtain CCC-SLP or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) will be considered Previous experience in a school environment preferred Comfort with both resource and general education settings AAC device experience is highly preferred Your daily responsibilities will include: Providing speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students Conducting assessments, writing reports, and maintaining documentation Collaborating with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families for integrated support Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans Training and recommending use of AAC devices when appropriate This assignment offers the chance to enhance your experience, support the educational journey of young learners, and work within a collaborative, forward-thinking school community.
