Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a vibrant educational setting near Schaumburg, IL. This position runs from late September through early June, offering either full-time or part-time contract opportunities tailored to your availability, with an onsite-only requirement—virtual work is not available for this assignment. Your expertise will make a difference in students' communication and language development. Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential to effectively meet the needs of diverse learners and bridge language barriers within the school community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement Active Illinois SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English Experience in school-based settings preferred, particularly with middle school students Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and potentially work across more than one school site
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and provide direct and consultative therapy services Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists Serve a caseload averaging 45 students, with adjustments depending on assignment Implement evidence-based interventions addressing speech, language, and communication needs Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines Foster inclusive learning environments that promote student growth This opportunity provides a supportive environment where your professional skills are highly valued as you champion student success.
