Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support middle school students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This onsite, contract position offers the chance to make a lasting impact in a dynamic educational environment, located near Schaumburg, IL. Youll work directly with a diverse learner population, utilizing your bilingual Spanish and English skills to connect with students and families.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to a middle school caseload (approximately 45 students), with caseload specifics determined by assigned sites Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress Facilitate consultation with teachers and families to optimize student outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines Participate actively in faculty and team meetings, providing expertise in speech and language development May serve one school or travel between multiple middle school sites, based on district needs
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred This position offers full-time hours (37.5 per week), but part-time arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
