Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Illinois SLP license and state credentials for school-based practice Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered Experience with elementary populations preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in groups Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation of student progress Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate strategies and support students within the school setting Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and actively participate in case discussions Consult with families, teachers, and staff to ensure continuity of care and promote speech-language development Stay current with evidence-based practices and participate in ongoing professional learning
