This contract role is part-time, offering 7 hours per week working with an engaging caseload of nine K-2 students in a dedicated educational environment. The anticipated schedule aligns with the 2026-2027 school year, with tentative dates to be confirmed. New hire orientation is slated for August 12-14. Your expertise will play a vital part in fostering communication development for children receiving special education services. This role is open to a certified SLP with either their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or a strong Clinical Fellow (CF). Direct support for early elementary students ensures your skills make an immediate impact.
Qualifications:
Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Illinois and Professional Educator License (PEL), both required (please attach screenshots showing active status) Experience in a school setting with K-2 students, or a demonstrated passion for early childhood special education Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome with strong recommendations
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to a small caseload of K-2 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Maintain meticulous documentation of student progress and session notes Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student growth and engagement Attend team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions This onsite-only role offers a focused, supportive environment with a manageable caseload, enabling you to provide meaningful support to each student.
