Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students through a maternity leave assignment. This full-time role, spanning December through May 2027, offers a chance to make a meaningful impact within a vibrant educational community near Wheaton, IL. Youll guide and empower students, utilizing your specialized skills in speech-language pathology to foster growth and facilitate communication success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Professional Educator License (PEL) required Will consider strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) passionate about school-based practice Experience in a school setting or working with high school students is preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is a plus Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to adapt to dynamic school environments and support diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language services to high school students during the maternity leave period Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized plans for addressing students speech and language disorders Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support educational goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP development and meetings Engage students with innovative, evidence-based therapy approaches Foster an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere within the school community This assignment offers a uniquely focused, full-time schedule, allowing you to build strong rapport with students and staff over the course of the school year.
