Step into a dynamic school-based role supporting students' communication needs for a long-term assignment. A passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to serve a caseload of 41 students from September 14th through March 1st, 2027. If you are an SLPA, you are welcome to apply as long as a supervising SLP can be arranged. This contract position also involves working with 1-2 students at an alternative education center.

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a diverse caseload, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions. Complete comprehensive assessments, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings to support collaborative student progress. Provide occasional services for select students at a nearby alternative education center, adapting approaches as needed. Maintain thorough documentation and communication with teachers, families, and colleagues to ensure consistency in care. Engage, motivate, and inspire students to achieve their communication goals throughout the academic year. Work within a multidisciplinary team and participate actively in school-related professional activities.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of an accredited SLPA program. Active Indiana licensure as an SLP (CCC strongly preferred) or SLPA. For SLPA candidates, willingness to coordinate with an available supervising SLP. Experience working in a K-12 school setting or similar pediatric environment preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt to a variety of student needs and educational settings.
