Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Empower young learners and make a lasting impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, serving PreK-12th grade students in a supportive school environment. This engaging opportunity involves working with a caseload of approximately 70 students, embracing a diverse range of communication needs while collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff. Your expertise in speech-language pathology—whether as a fully credentialed SLP-CCC or as a driven SLPA with school-based experience—will be highly valued. This assignment offers 35 hours per week and welcomes professionals committed to ensuring every student's voice is heard.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active SLP-CCC or SLPA license (school experience highly desired) Demonstrated ability to support a caseload across all grade levels, PreK-12th Experience in school-based speech and language services preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering student growth in a school setting
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy for students with speech and language challenges Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in partnership with teachers and families Maintain detailed progress notes and participate in student meetings as needed Liaise with staff and parents to promote communication skills and learning outcomes Support colleagues by sharing expertise and advocating for best practices in speech-language services This contract position is ideal for SLPs who thrive in dynamic, student-centered settings and appreciate the unique challenges and rewards of serving a school community.
