9653168-47460 Job Description Step into an impactful school-based contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth. Beginning August 3rd, 2026, and running through May 24th, 2027, this role is tailored for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) ready to make a difference across 23 school sites near Spencer, IN. Work 1821 hours per week over 35 days, providing direct services and expertise primarily to students in grades 23, with possible assignments with other age groups. Expect a caseload spanning approximately 3050 students.
Key qualifications and expectations:
Current Indiana licensure and credentials required for SLPs working in schools. Experience serving diverse elementary caseloads; comfort with a range of student ages is a plus. Familiarity with providing services in alignment with students IEPs. Ability to evaluate and reevaluate students, document progress, and contribute professionally to student success. Willingness to function as Teacher of Record (TOR) or Teacher of Service (TOS) for your caseload, including leading IEP meetings as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with staff and families across multiple sites.
Primary responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions tailored to individual student needs. Conduct and document comprehensive speech and language assessments. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Run or participate in IEP meetings, providing knowledgeable input for service planning. Maintain accurate and thorough records compliant with local and federal guidelines.
