Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in an Early Learning Center setting by supporting young learners on their communication journey. This full-time, contract opportunity runs the entire school year, serving a vibrant PreK-Kindergarten caseload near West Terre Haute, IN. The focus is on providing mostly push-in speech therapy services, collaborating closely with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

Current SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Demonstrated experience working in school settings, particularly with early childhood populations Strong background in delivering innovative, engaging therapy within classroom settings Comfort with push-in service delivery models and multidisciplinary collaboration Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with early learners and their families

Core Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for PreK-Kindergarten students to identify speech and language needs Implement individualized intervention plans, integrating them within classroom routines through push-in sessions Work alongside teachers to model strategies and support student participation Regularly document and monitor progress, adapting strategies as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on communication development Provide guidance and education for staff and families to promote continuity of support beyond therapy sessions This role offers the chance to witness meaningful student growth and collaborate within a welcoming educational community throughout the full school year.
