Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for students at both an elementary and a high school. This flexible role is ideal for an experienced SLP committed to fostering student communication skills and supporting their educational journey. Youll enjoy the autonomy to design your weekly schedule, splitting your time between two campuses based on caseload needs and priorities. Your primary responsibility will involve direct service for a caseload of 60+ students, with collaborative support from an SLPA joining the team within a few weeks to further reduce and manage the load. The district acknowledges the current caseload size and is actively addressing support and coverage.
Key qualifications:
Hold a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Valid state licensure for Kansas (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in school-based settings preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities Flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable working across multiple school environments Core responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals Adapt service delivery based on caseload updates and evolving student needs This contract position runs from ASAP through late May 2027, offering a consistent 37.5-hour workweek in a supportive school community.
