JOB TITLE
Infant Toddler Speech Language Pathologist
JOB BRIEF
To provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers (birth to age three) with developmental delays or disabilities by assessing functional developmental levels; planning and implementing individualized, family-centered interventions; coaching and supporting caregivers; monitoring child progress; and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet IFSP outcomes in accordance with IDEA Part C and Kansas Infant-Toddler Services requirements. Services are delivered in natural environments and may include flexible scheduling to meet family needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree from an accredited college or university. Valid Kansas license/certification appropriate for the assigned discipline (e.g., ECSE, SLP, OT, PT, Developmental Specialist). Experience or training in early childhood special education or early intervention preferred. All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY
Full time, 230 days total (189 days school year, 41 days summer) Based on Salary Schedule. 2025-2026 Salary Schedule 2026-2027 Salary yet to be established.
REPORTS TO
: Director of Infant Toddler Services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
: Meets all Kansas state licensing and certification requirements for the assigned discipline. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication through clear documentation and effective collaboration with families and team members. Conducts developmental evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine eligibility and monitor child progress. Develops and implements Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and team members. Provides early intervention services in natural environments in accordance with program philosophy and state requirements. Utilizes reflective coaching practices to support caregivers in implementing strategies within daily routines. Employs a variety of intervention techniques, materials, and assistive technology appropriate to child and family needs. Maintains accurate, complete, and timely records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Monitors child progress on a continual basis and reports progress at designated times. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with families and interdisciplinary team members. Manages caseload responsibilities and documentation timelines in accordance with program requirements. Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic, including availability for flexible hours, including evenings. Participates in professional development and ongoing training. Adheres to ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality and IDEA Part C requirements. Other duties as assigned by the administration.

RETIREMENT
USD 383 makes monthly contributions to a 403(b)-retirement account for all certified and eligible employees. KPERS (Kansas Public Employees Retirement System): 6% monthly staff contribution. Vested after five years.

District provided devices - iPad, laptop and/or desktop for certified staff.

EVALUATION
: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board of Education's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
