Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students communication development in a school-centered setting close to Topeka, KS. This role focuses on providing high-quality speech-language pathology services specifically tailored to the unique needs of pediatric populations within an educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) to practice as an SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but Clinical Fellows will be considered Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual educational plans and student goals
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screening, evaluation, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders among students Develop and implement evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to students individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsincluding educators, counselors, and familiesto optimize student progress Document sessions, maintain up-to-date progress notes, and comply with school documentation requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals Provide training and resources for teachers and parents to support carryover and generalization of therapy strategies
