Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging school-based speech-language pathology opportunity where you'll work closely with both preschool and elementary students, making a lasting impact on their communication skills and overall educational journey. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to serve a diverse caseload, develop creative therapy strategies, and collaborate with a supportive educational team near Ashland, KY.
Key Qualifications:
Possess or be eligible for Speech-Language Pathology license (CFY or CCC accepted) Experience or strong interest in working within school settings Ability to manage a full caseload independently Skilled in assessment, intervention, and the development of IEPs Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with young children, teachers, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to preschoolers primarily during morning hours to align with their routines Transition to elementary schools in the afternoon to provide additional support Conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain records in accordance with school and state guidelines Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and families to implement interventions and support student progress Maintain flexibility while traveling between sites as needed throughout the week Enjoy a schedule that mirrors the traditional school day: preschool hours are 8:00am-2:00pm, with a similar schedule for elementary students.
