Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting childrens communication and language development as a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school environment near Baton Rouge, LA. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings Proficient assessment and intervention skills for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic/social communication Excellent rapport-building and communication abilities with children, families, and staff Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders among students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with students IEPs/504 Plans Deliver direct and consultative therapy within classrooms or dedicated spaces Monitor student progress, write clear progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to support academic and social-emotional growth Provide education and resources to staff and parents to reinforce therapy strategies Experience the satisfaction of helping students achieve meaningful goals and reach their full communication potential in a supportive educational setting.
