Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to students in grades PreK-12 near Church Point, LA. You'll work collaboratively with educators, families, and a supportive network of professionals, delivering high-quality interventions tailored to each student's unique needs.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active and current state licensure as an SLP Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered Experience (or strong interest) working with students ages PreK through 12th grade in a school setting Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Knowledgeable about IEP process, evaluations, goal development, and progress monitoring
Core Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within the school environment Develop and implement individualized intervention plans (IEPs) for students Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student success Participate in IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations Offer both individual and group therapy as needed This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic educational setting.
