9522178-70056 Job Description Step into a vital role supporting students communication growth in an onsite school-based setting with a long-term contract opportunity. This position offers you stable, full-time hours35 hours per week, Monday through Fridayaligned with the school calendar. Set in the vibrant New Orleans area, youll collaborate with dedicated educators and talented therapy professionals, making a lasting impact on students lives.
Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience in school settings and working with diverse student populations valued Must complete district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing procedures
Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, addressing a range of communication needs Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to each student Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and professional standards Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote optimal learning outcomes for students Adapt service models to individual and group settings as needed, supporting students of varying ages Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and ongoing staff training
