Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services is needed for a school-based contract position located in Gretna, LA. This role supports students within the Jefferson Parish School District, serving the New Orleans area, including Harvey, LA. The contract runs from August 7, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a workweek consisting of 35 hours spread over five days, inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Key responsibilities include delivering remote speech-language therapy to students, tailoring interventions to meet diverse communication needs. Caseload and age groups will be determined and communicated prior to placement. Collaboration with school staff and adherence to district protocols for teletherapy services are essential components of the role.
Required qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active state license in Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP) Experience providing teletherapy services in educational settings preferred Completion of district-specific credentialing forms as part of the hiring process This position involves working as a contracted professional with assignments to be determined according to district needs.
