Key Qualifications and Experience:

Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program Active state licensure in Louisiana or immediate eligibility to obtain it ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous school-based or pediatric experience is valued Ability to navigate a varied caseload (specific details and school assignments to be determined) Willingness to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprints, as well as credentialing

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and comply with state and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with families and multidisciplinary teams Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting inclusive communication strategies
