9673601-70072 Job Description Make a positive impact on the lives of middle school students by providing essential speech-language services in a supportive, educational setting. A contract opportunity is available for a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working with 5th-8th grade students. This position offers 25-30 hours each week, fostering a rewarding balance between your professional and personal life.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Licensed (or able to obtain licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist for practice in Louisiana Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, educators, and families Passion for working with middle school-aged students and helping them achieve their goals
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students in 5th through 8th grade Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans to address students speech and language needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student learning and progress Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records in line with school guidelines Provide direct and consultative therapy services within a nurturing, inclusive school environment This role offers the chance to make meaningful connections with students during a pivotal time in their academic and personal growth.
