A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on an exciting contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) supporting students in an engaging educational environment just outside Haverhill, MA. This onsite position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children by facilitating their communication and academic success. In this role, you'll work 35 hours per week alongside a dedicated team, using your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in a school setting. As a valued member of the educational community, you'll develop individualized treatment plans that support students' growth, collaborate with teachers, and empower families. What we're looking for: Valid and active MA SLP license Current MA DOE educational certifications Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience in a school-based SLP role is highly valued Strong communication and organizational skills A passion for helping students achieve their fullest potential Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments Developing personalized therapy plans and implementing interventions Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families Advising on classroom strategies to support broader learning goals Adhering to all relevant state and federal guidelines You'll enjoy the benefits of a school calendar schedule while having an impact that lasts far beyond the classroom.
