A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required Experience working in a school setting, ideally at the high school level Strong understanding of adolescent communication disorders and intervention strategies Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists Excellent organizational and time management skillsPrimary Responsibilities:
Manage a high school caseload, assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Implement evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to each student's unique needs Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and provide data-driven reports Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to ensure ongoing support and progress Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development sessions This position offers the chance to positively influence students' educational journeys while working alongside supportive professionals.
