A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current

ASHA CCC-SLP

certification, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Valid state license, or eligibility to obtain, as required for school practice Previous experience in pediatric, healthcare, or school settings highly valued Demonstrated knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP processes Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse pediatric population within a school setting Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with teachers, families, and other specialists Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments to inform individualized treatment plans Develop, maintain, and update IEPs based on students' needs and progress Monitor and document student outcomes, maintaining compliance with federal and state guidelines Offer guidance and support to teachers and caregivers to optimize student communication in the classroom Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring access to appropriate resources This contract opportunity offers meaningful, hands-on experience while allowing you to impact lives each day.
