Speech Language Pathologist Quincy Public Schools - 3.7 Quincy, MA Job Details Full-time $60,975 - $75,199 a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Teacher collaboration Working with individuals with disabilities Standardized testing Mid-level Working with students with special education needs Progress documentation Working with individuals with speech impairments IEP implementation Communication skills Full Job Description The speech language pathologist will conduct evaluations and provide direct services to students with mild/moderate disabilities in a public school setting.
Responsibilities Include:
Conducts thorough assessments of speech and language skills utilizing standardized evaluations and informal assessments to establish eligibility for services and inform goals and service deliveryUtilizes data to develop attainable, strengths-based SMART goals for improving functional communication skillsProvides direct services utilizing research-based treatment methods to improve students functional communication skills as outlined in the students Individualized Education Program (IEP)Records data and reports progress at least as often as report cards are providedAttends and participates in IEP meetingsCollaborates with other related service providers to conduct co-treatment sessions when deemed appropriateConsults with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to implement communication strategies throughout the school dayParticipates in professional development that is specific to the field and meets requirements to maintain licensure
